Kate Brown Became Governor With 5 Days’ Notice. She’s Been On Fire Ever Since.

I remember the headlines at the time, how exciting to learn how years of public service and legislative experience has shaped Governor Kate Brown into the dynamic and productive Executive Oregan is thriving right now. I see parallels between Hillary Clinton and Kate Brown with their relationship building, the ability and desire to reach out across the aisle to get things accomplished, what a breath of fresh air compared to the years of republican obstructionism where all we see and hear isn’t “NO” with nothing of value to show for it. Additionally to add insult to injury, we have certain republican legislators threatening to hold the Supreme Court understaffed, we need to vote blue across the board to put lawmakers who will help govern through relationship building, thus establishing common ground and finding solutions for their constituents.

    I voted for Kate, both in the primary and the general election. I like what she accomplished on increasing the minimum wage. My Mom, however, will probably vote for one of Kate’s progressive rivals. Not the Republican, but one of the other candidates.
