Nancy Pelosi Blames George W. Bush For IRS Scandal
What I would like to see happening right now is instead of trying to find someone to blame like they used to do back in medieval days “who’s to blame? It had to be a witch! Get her, get him!”. We should be focusing on the crux of the controversy, Citizens United and the creation of the 501(c)(4). First of all you don’t even need to file with the I.R.S so why did these tea party organizations file in the first place? Secondly it has been noted since 2008 that the Koch brothers and other billionaires were heavily investing in these superpacs and it wasn’t for the purposes of social welfare. When you have a deluge of 501(c)(4) coming into your office and you are aware of the association between billionaires, elections and superpacs, it might be difficult not to put two and two together. I find that this scandal is really a symptom that is camouflaging the real disease, gross amounts of money in our political and electoral process. That is the real scandal and we need to continue to fight for the amendment that will repeal Citizens United and do away with these superpacs.
