Clues From Arizona Immigration Ruling on Individual Mandate Fate
At this point after the Supreme Court overturned Montana’s own Supreme court’s ruling against Citizens United, I don’t think that Chief Justice Roberts cares one iota what the public thinks. I read what Associate Justice Scalia thinks of the Obama administration and illegal immigrants and it wasn’t very pretty. I think that Roberts wanted to consolidate the Federal governments powers over immigration because Roberts is probably counting that Romney will win and he wanted to extend an easy playing field on immigration for the next session of congress. I am being very cynical I know but the overall political landscape, a hardcore activist Supreme Court, science denying republicans everywhere and the billionaire Super Pacs makes me very sad and nervous.
